. Sandra Costanzo
Student Advisor - EMSB.
January 23, 2024, Sandra was Christine's colleague at the English Montreal School Board from 2000 to 2023.
Christine Bano has worked for many years as part of the team at our school and she was definitely a leader there. She was the teacher that each student requested when registration time came along.
She taught our students English and at times French. She is perfectly bilingual and has many years of teaching experience besides her university credentials.
Christine always went the extra mile for her students while sharing her warm, welcoming manner, creativity, and her renowned sense of humour. Students spoke to me about learning so much in her class and those who were not yet in her class looked forward to getting there. If certain students needed extra material to help them learn, Christine would research new material and find different activities to aid in the learning process.
Christine was also involved in different activities in the school and was the MC for our school shows. I would definitely recommend her for any work or collaboration she undertakes.

. Litsa Kamateros
English/ French Second Language Adult Ed .Teacher at English Montreal School Board (EMSB).
June, 2019, Christine was Litsa's Stage Director.
I met Christine in 2019 while doing a 6-month internship in teaching English as a Second Language. After being asked to take me on as an intern Christine did not hesitate for a moment.
While attending/interning in her class 2x to 3x times a week, I was able to observe her style in teaching. The takeaway from this 6-month experience cannot be measured. She not only expressed in measurable and extensive knowledge in
the subject matter/curriculum but also showed compassion, patience, and genuine care for each and every student. She was also an animated and humorous teacher who would always make the students feel welcome with her ongoing wit and jokes.
I was truly honoured to partake in learning/teaching / assisting in her class. A very humane style of teaching is to best describe her teaching approach. As we cannot put a price on certain things such as love, in the same breath, I can say
Christine Bano is a teacher who can only be found on rare occasions and perhaps once in a lifetime. A true and rare gem indeed.
Litsa.
